Barry Wilkinson

Barry has spent decades consulting with professional service firms. He has an extensive record in supporting clients to:

  • Prepare for mergers and acquisitions
  • Overhaul cost structures
  • Improve cash flow

After starting his career as a financial analyst, Barry worked as a financial director within the RTZ (now Rio Tinto) group, where he specialised in turning unprofitable companies around. He built on this experience when he founded his own firm in the early 1990s.

Barry uses his background in business analytics to help drive improved profitability. Barry’s data-driven approach has saved his clients millions of pounds across all areas of their cost structures. He works both strategically and creatively to identify areas for growth and boost cash flow.

One of the ways Barry seeks to support his clients is by investigating opportunities for mergers and acquisitions. Thanks to his ability to bring partners together, he has played an instrumental role in preparing countless firms for mergers or to acquire rival firms.

Barry is a Fellow and former Area President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is also the author of Cash Management for Law Firms, the definitive industry report published by the Ark Group. He regularly presents at legal industry conferences around the UK.
